Take 5 to the Polls!
10,000 Women Louisiana is launching Take 5 to the Polls, a campaign asking you to help at least five friends, relatives, coworkers, or neighbors vote early.
Here’s how to get started:

Choose at least five people from your family, friends, workplace, neighborhood, faith community, organizations, or social media connections.

Encourage each person to check their voter registration, review their sample ballot, and find voting locations through the GeauxVote app or the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website.

Ask: “What day will you vote? Where will you go? Do you need a ride?” Arrange to go together when you can. Find your early voting location here https://voterportal.sos.la.gov/earlyvoting

Text, email, or call. Ask whether they’ve voted and help them work through any barriers.

Invite each person to help five people in their own circle vote.
Louisiana voters will consider ten constitutional amendments on November 3. Help your five review these proposals along with the candidates and local issues on their sample ballots.

Dates to know for the November 3 election
October 13: Deadline to register online through GeauxVote.
October 20–27: Early voting, 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m., excluding Sunday, October 25.
October 30: Deadline to request an absentee ballot, 4:30 p.m.
November 2: Completed absentee ballots must be received by the registrar of voters by 4:30 p.m.
November 3: Election Day; polls open 6 a.m.–8 p.m.
Military and overseas voters have different absentee deadlines.

Our History
10,000 Women Louisiana began as a bold vision: to unite women across the state to build collective power and influence.
In its first years, the organization launched advocacy campaigns on reproductive health and maternal care, created leadership development programs to support women running for office, and established community-based policy conversations through its Wisdom, Wine & Women series.
By 2025, 10,000 Women Louisiana had grown into a statewide movement with thousands of supporters, laying the foundation for its long-term goal of mobilizing 10,000 women to change Louisiana’s future.

Programs
Women on Wednesday
An advocacy program to advance policies for women, girls, and gender-expansive people in Louisiana. Each week, during the Louisiana Legislative Session, we host groups of advocates at the State Capitol to learn about proposed legislation, its potential impacts, and ways to influence the legislative process.
