June 14th NO Kings Day Events

Baton Rouge

This Is Our America – Visibility Event for No Kings Day

Visibility Event https://www.mobilize.us/indivisiblebatonrouge/event/786965/

Sat, June 14 * 8 – 11am CDT * North 6th Street & North St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802

About this event

A military parade on the leader’s birthday, is not America. Citizens gathering peacefully, is.

Trump’s military parade could cost as much as $45 million. In our America, we organize and gather for free because we love our country.

Join us on June 14, nationwide “No Kings” Day of Action, for a peaceful, public demonstration of what we value as Americans: our country and all who call it home, and the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution.

Not a wanna-be dictator who uses Flag Day and the US Army’s 250th birthday as justification to throw himself a military parade at our expense.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

The Power of Women

MULTIPLIED, MOBILIZED and MOTIVATED to change Louisiana

A powerful network of women solving issues at the local, state and national levels, turning out to vote, supporting women to run for office

You may already be a part of many groups, pulled in a thousand different directions, and feel overwhelmed by the problems we face. But 10000 Women wants to help you focus, simplify and make it easy to know what’s going on in politics from the school board to the state capitol.

Advocacy Trainings

Educational sessions to strengthen your knowledge about our government; how it impacts you and how you can impact it. Check our calendar for sessions.

Wisdom, Wine and Women

Learn about policy and legislation from experts in the field every Thursday night during the legislative session, also held on the last Thursday of each month outside of the legislative session.

Leadership Development

10000 Women hosts regional circles throughout the state to offer you the opportunity to meet like-minded women who are ready to change the world.

Women on Wednesday

In partnership with Lift Louisiana, this program facilitates a sustained advocacy presence at the Louisiana State Capitol throughout the Legislative Session. Through these events, advocates learn about proposed legislation, its potential impacts, and ways to influence the legislative process.

Constituent Meetings

Part of the Women on Wednesday program with Lift Louisiana, we assist you and others in your district to set up a meeting with your legislators to discuss issues important to you. We supply you with a step by step guide, resources on issues, voting records and we will walk you throughout the process.

Action Alerts

Throughout the year, there are numerous decisions made on all levels of government that affect us as women. We will keep you up to date on actions you can take.
